General Plan Update

As we all know, the City of Sacramento is growing! In the next 25 years, it is expected that Sacramento's population will increase by 200,000. The City is asking for help from its citizens in deciding how we grow. If you are concerned with issues such as affordable housing, transportation, environment and safety; then help us plan the future of Sacramento.

Sacramento's General Plan is a guide for future development and preservation or resources. The plan includes goals, policies, and programs which is used to make decisions about zoning neighborhoods, creating subdivisions, and developing parks and open space.

Please join us in this great opportunity to make Sacramento the most livable city in America!  We are hosting an Open House to listen to your thoughts and opinions regarding the General Plan 2030.

If you want your opinion heard before the General Plan goes to the City Council for adoption, please come to the Open House!  It is scheduled as follows:

Thursday, October 4th

Starting at 6:30 PM -- 9:30 p.m.

Pannell Community Center

2450 Meadowview Road

FOOD and PLAYCARE will be provided.

Please bring your neighbor, family or friends.

Since this will be on Open House format, you can arrive anytime between the designated hours. If you are unable to attend this particular one, please see the attached flyer for other dates and locations. I hope to see you there!    For more information contact Ralph Montano in the Planning Department at remontano@cityofsacramento.org.
